Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Habitat For Humanity - Powhatan emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2001, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.
Our volunteer opportunities include helping in our home builds, helping our critical repair team fix damaged homes and helping in our Habitat Store during the week and on Saturdays of the month.

Meet Our Volunteers
John and Lisa Hagerty
John and Lisa have been volunteering with Habitat Powhatan for over five years. They take their Christian faith very seriously and spend a lot of time serving others. They have contributed to each of our last six houses as volunteers and have given financially with employer-matched donations for their efforts. Their children have also come with them to volunteer on our projects.
